Custom "Kid's Room HeART work"
Bright, un-babyish wall art that grows with the room and the humans that live in them. Ready-made designs or a set built around your colours, themes, and style. Get the impact of a mural without commiting to permanent wall paintings.
Custom "Family HeART work"
The most immersive experience. Each family member is involved in designing and creating a collaborative art piece that captures the family's joys and loves at that moment in time. We work with parents to uplift into an artistic style that is ready to hang and proud to display.
HeART Workshops and Educational Development
Developmental experiences to build art and creativity skills, connect with other humans, and deepen relationships through HeART work. Shorter sessions for younger kids, deep dive sessions for teens, and interactive experiences for adults.
Party and Event HeART work for kids
We bring the mess and take it home again. Birthday tables, school fairs, community days, block parties — every child leaves with something they made.

From work based team building events to live art co-creation at weddings, birthdays or even just a girl's weekend reunion of friends. The magic is in community art, built in collaboration with your guests/team, that you keep for years to come.

Fill in the form with as much or as little as you know. We reply within two working days with ideas, timings, and questions that help with the consult. You get a flat price and a target date at the end.

We make it together
You see a sketch before any paint goes down, and you get one round of changes included in the price of the package. Kids are very welcome and encouraged to weigh in!

It arrives ready to hang
Packed properly, wrapped for a gift if you'd like, and posted with tracking. Workshops and events get a kit list instead.

Meet the artist behind the concept
Zack Burger, founder of Creative Concepts for Children, grew up as the son of a children's pastor and lived a life surrounded by other people's children. This led to a passion for helping children become who they are meant to be. He also dreamed of being a Disney illustrator as a small child, going as far as completing two years of university art instruction before switching to a business degree. After 20 years in the corporate world working in HR, training, and learning & development, Zack brings a unique perspective to childhood education, the role of art in living a full life, and encouraging human curiousity, creativity, and joyfulness in his clients. Zack is based in the vibrant and beautiful city of Pittsburgh, PA.
Creative Concepts for Children began at a kitchen table covered in paint, working out how to keep a child's own way of drawing intact while making something a family would be proud to display simliar in style to professional or 'named' art. That's still the whole idea.
Every piece is made by human hands, one at a time. Nothing is printed on demand in a warehouse, nothing is generated by a machine, and is 100% AI-free. This is a people-centered, heart-forward concept that aims to strengthen and protect the thing that makes us human; the innate gifts of creativity and art creation inside all of us. If a project isn't a good fit, we'll say so and point you somewhere better if we can.

FAQ
The things people ask first
How much does a commission cost?
It depends on size and how many people are involved in makinng it. You'll get one flat number before anything starts — no hourly surprises. Small keepsake pieces sit at the lower end; large family art work at the top.
How long does it take?
The longest in-person immersive offering will take 4-6 hours, but with a mix of pre-work and balancing the needs (i.e. attention spans and busy schedules) of everyone involved we can reduce that time significantly to slightly less than 2 hours. For shipped items, usually two to four weeks from approved sketch to posted parcel.
What ages are the classes for?
Generally children need to be able to follow direction and engage with the tools of art making. That tends to be five upwards, grouped so nobody is the odd one out. Younger sessions are shorter and messier; older ones go deeper into a single technique. Grown-ups can stay or slip off for a coffee depending on the child's supervisory needs.
Do you travel for parties and events?
Yes — locally as standard, and further afield with travel added at cost. We bring everything: materials, covers, aprons, and a plan for the moment attention starts to wander.
Can I give a commission as a gift?
Often the whole point, this is great option for those who want to gift experiences instead of 'just more stuff'. If the timing is tight we'll send a printed card explaining what's coming, so there's something to open on the day.
